Mario Evon Shares His “journey to Reggae-soul” to Celebrate the Day of His Birth

On Sunday, October 9, 2016 at 12am, Reggae-Soul Singer/Songwriter, Mario Evon, will release ‘M.E. On Love – The Journey to Reggae Soul’, a 15-minute documentary that will be exclusively featured at www.marioevon.com.  Filmed and directed by Reynaldo Martin of Reynaldo Martin Studios, the documentary highlights the genesis of his take on the Reggae-Soul genre, and provides a behind the scenes view of the creation of his debut album. Also included are live performances and interviews of persons involved in the creative process. The documentary celebrates the development of a new musical sound out of Jamaica, and documents a distinctive moment in Jamaican music history.

Mario Evon is a Jamaican reggae-soul singer/songwriter. On May 12, 2015, he released his debut album “Reggae-Soul Vol. 1: M.E. on Love” which was recorded in Jamaica in Bob Marley’s legendary Tuff Gong Studio and also in the United States at Atlantic Sound Studios. The album is available through all major online distributors (iTunes, Amazon MP3, Spotify, TIDAL etc.), and limited physical copies may be accessed from 1 Eastwood Avenue, Kingston 10 from Monday to Friday between 8:30am and 3pm.
