The Hidden Treasure (A Mother-To-Be Reflection)

I have thought about you

Longed for you

You are in my dreams

As I lay on my bed

I wondered about your beautiful face

Your beautiful hands and feet

Can’t wait to have you in my arms

To see you grow and grow

Into the likeness of the One

Who gave you to me

A gift you are

And this gift I receive

My Hidden Treasure

I have prayed for you

Asked Angels to guard you

To watch over you

To protect you

I want to give you all the love

That will guide you

And you’ll know I’ll be there for you

No matter what storm may come

Can’t wait to see you

To stroke your precious cheek

To hush you to sleep

My Hidden Treasure
