A number of women who brought victory and acclaim to their colleges and universities were honored as the 2016-2017 Southeastern Conference (SEC) 2017 Class of Women’s Legends. Included among these star athletes is Jamaica’s Olympic champion gold medalist and world sprint champion Veronica Campbell Brown who competed for Arkansas in 2004. The Class showcases former student athletes, coaches and administrators from the 14 member institutions comprising the SEC. Each of the women will be recognized at the half-time of the first game of tournament play by their teams. All 14 will also be honored as a group and will sign autographs during the tournament. Upon hearing of her inclusion in the SEC Class, Veronica Campbell Brown took to social media to thank the SEC and acknowledging the Razorbacks of Arkansas.
