Here it is… a Saturday evening cultural lime. Yardabraad Art Gallery presents Culture Corner with Dr. Sue and Friends.

Intimate venue, great vibe and talent sharing, makes for an artistically rich experience.

The Venue – Yardabraawd Art Gallery and Souvenirs, at 5401 NW 102nd Ave, Sunrise FL 33351, is home to some of South Florida’s most vibrant Art pieces, produced by Richard Hugh Blackford and Friends. Blackford’s pieces are in demand and as such each visit to the studio gives rise to new, eye-popping nostalgic pieces.

The Event – Culture Corner with Dr Sue and Friends is a FREE open-mic networking/lime with entertainment and refreshments. This event is slated for the last Saturday of each month and will represent a different theme and a featured Guest/Artist; they will share, and will be available to assist persons who would like to be mentored in their particular interest or art form. All present are invited to share in the open mic.

The event will fund-raise for a different non-profit, charity or community project each month. Details will be shared in the monthly promotional flyers, so come on out and support those in need.

The inaugural event on Saturday February 25th at 6:00 pm, will feature the award winning Poet, Malachi Smith. Malachi is known for his energetic delivery, his dub poetry and his ability to keep you mesmerized as he uses his lyrics to take you on journeys and have you re-live experiences.

Stay tuned for the coming months as we celebrate themes such as ‘Women’s Month,’ ‘Poetry Month,’ Haitian Heritage Month,’ ‘Caribbean/American Month,’ ‘Independence,’ ‘Hispanic Month,’ and ‘Thanksgiving.’ Not to mention the featured Guests/Artistes who have already confirmed their participation in the upcoming months.
