Final Elimination for World Reggae Dance Championship on July 10, 2015, Kingston

The final elimination for JCDC World Reggae Dance Championship will be held on Friday, July 10 at the Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre starting at 6:00 p.m. Interested dance groups from across the island can still submit their entries for this year’s Championship at the JCDC Head Office, the Kingston & St. Andrew Office, or on-spot at the elimination. Successful entrants will then move on to the exciting semi-final round, for a chance to represent Jamaica at the finale during the Independence Celebrations.  This event is organized by the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC), an agency of the Ministry of Youth and Culture.

The World Reggae Dance Championship is open to dance groups comprising 3 to 6 persons, 18 years of age and older and residing in and outside of Jamaica. Entries are accepted in any of these categories: Roots Reggae, Dancehall, Reggae Contemporary/Classic, Reggae Dancehall and Dance Narrative.

Entry forms for the competition is available at the JCDC Head Office located at 3-5 Phoenix Avenue, Kingston 10, all JCDC parish offices island-wide and online at www.jcdc.gov.jm.

The grand final for the World Reggae Dance Championship will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at the Independence Village, Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre starting at 8:00 p.m.
