Jamaica defeated Canada with a score of 1 to 0 in a group stage match of the CONCACAF Gold Cup. Two minutes into stoppage, Rodolph Austin scored following a sequence beginning with Jamaica playing the ball out to the right wing. Winfried Schaefer, Jamaican technical director, said it was the great spirit of the team that led to the win. Jamaica is leading Group B with four points. The Reggae Boyz will look to wrap up the top spot in Group B when they take on El Salvador on Tuesday at 6:00 pm EST at Toronto’s BMO Field.
