Reggae & Dancehall Recording Artist Kirk Diamond “Greater” Than Ever

After a brief music hiatus, fans of Kirk Diamond are enthusiastic to see the reggae recording artist back on the scene with new music.

The Spanish Town, Jamaica native made his mark in the industry by being nominated for a 2015 JUNO Award (Canadian equivalent to the Grammy) for Reggae Recording of the Year with “Love Inna We Heart”. Although Kirk seemed someone absent from the dancehall and reggae scene, the rising star took 2016 as a spiritual and musical rebirth, and put pen to paper to deliver new music, this journey culminated in kicking off 2017 with slated performances in the UK and an appearance on BBC 1Xtra where he dazzled listeners and host Seani B with a dancehall freestyle.

Kirk Diamond took the opportunity to introduce his new single “Greater”, the lead single from his upcoming anticipated debut EP. The latter might seem like a departure from Kirk’s dancehall recognition, but the versatile artist who grew up inspired by the late greats Bob Marley and Jacob Miller explains that ” Of course I love dancehall, I grew up with dancehall and made my name in dancehall, but my inspirations and my messages are steeped in Reggae, actually i guess you can say I fuse the two and create my own lane, but the man that I have become seeks refuge in reggae “.

Produced by Mangotree from Germany, “Greater” is a personal journey and message from Kirk, “Greater is a story of my musical journey to this point with an optimistic look on what’s next to come. I wrote it to inspire and motivate other artists but can adapt to everyone and anyone working towards their own success no matter what field they’re in.” – Kirk Diamond

A video is in the works for “Greater” scheduled to be release in a few weeks.
