The 13 talented finalists in the 2015 Miss Jamaica Festival Queen Competition have come home to their official residence at the Christar Villas Hotel, as they commence their final walk to crown. Their first test will be a face-off at Karaoke Night, this Saturday, July 25 at the Christar Villas Vibes Sports Bar, 99a Hope Road, Kingston 10 starting at 8:00 p.m.
Members of the public will get an opportunity to see their favorite queen as they showcase their talent before the grand coronation. The finalists will also get the chance to interact with each other as they kick-start their week of activities leading up to the Grand Coronation on Emancipation Day, Saturday, August 1 at the Independence Village, Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre.
Some of the other activities planned for the finalists are courtesy calls with the Governor General, the Leader of the Opposition, the Minister of Youth and Culture and the Mayor of Kingston. Tickets for the Coronation are available at the Sangster’s Bookstore (Mall Plaza, Sovereign, King Street and Portmore), Bill Express, JCDC Offices and online, www.jcdcjamaica.com. Adults can access tickets at a cost of $800 pre sold, $1000 at the gate and children $400. The guest artistes will be Duane Stephenson and Harold Davis & Friends.
