At the top of the list is Tim Duncan of the Virgin Islands who plays basketball for the San Antonio Spurs and has a net worth totaling US$150 million. He receives US$10 million per year and US$2 million from endorsements. Jamaica’s Kingston-born Patrick Ewing and former New York Knicks defensive player has a total net worth of US$85 million. The Hall-of-Famer is considered to be one of the best players in the history of the Knicks and of the NBA overall. Several other Jamaican-born athletes made the Top 10 Richest sports star list, including sprint champion Usain Bolt, who ranks in fifth place with a net worth reported at US$30 million; cricketeer Chris Gayle in eighth place with a net worth of US$15 million; Olympic sprint star Asafa Powell, who has a reported total net worth of US$6.5 million; the NFL’s Patrick Chung in 10th place with a net worth of US$4 million.
