Books4Kids Jamaica announces its 4th Annual Online Charity Auction, live online from May 1 – 9, 2015. Fabulous items on this year’s “virtual auction block” for charity include amazing vacation experiences such as roundtrip airline tickets, a European river cruise, Alaska and Caribbean cruises, exotic hotel and villa stays in Jamaica, Italy, Malta, Dubai, Mexico, Spain, Thailand, UK and the U.S. Virgin Islands and New York. The Online Charity Auction is the main fundraiser for Books4Kids Jamaica’s annual book distribution in September 2015. Children who participate in the Books4Kids program continue to produce excellent results. In 2014, an overall mastery of 91% was measured among 2,627 children at 36 schools who completed the annual Books4Kids Assessment skill test. Last year alone, the Early Childhood literacy program delivered Brain Quest Workbooks, reading books, crayons and pencils to 6,533 Kindergarten children at 72 Jamaican schools.
