Jamaica Ranked as 9th Best Caribbean Country to Live In

According to the United Nations Development Program, Jamaica ranks ninth on a list of best Caribbean countries to live in and 94th in the world. The periodic ranking uses several factors to determine a nation’s position on the list, including residents’ life expectancy at birth, the expected number of years at school, the mean number of years at school, and gross national income per capita. The top-rated country for quality of life in the Caribbean in 2017 is Barbados. Barbados also ranked 54th for quality of life in a list of countries worldwide. The ranking only considers countries that are members of the United Nations and that provide acceptable data to the agency.
