Friends of Jamaica in Atlanta Inc. hosted an Emancipation day fundraiser on August 1, 2015. The event featured music, poetry, skits, singing, dancing and a presentation on the Friends of Jamaica Atlanta mission.  Ms. Jewel Scott  Jamaica’s Honarary Consul  to Atlanta was a guest at the event.  The main guest speaker was author, Dr. Glen Laman.  The event was held at Avondale Pattillo United Methodist Church in Decatur, Georgia.
