The 2024 ICC T20 Cricket World Cup Tournament hosted a slate of matches at the Broward County Stadium in Lauderhill, Florida. As it happened, South Florida was in the cross-hairs of a number of weather systems that soaked the region in rain while also causing troublesome flooding. Consequently, all but one of the four scheduled matches in Lauderhill were rained out due to the incessant rain showers: Sri Lanka vs. Nepal; USA vs. Ireland; and India vs. Canada. At last, some much needed sunny weather arrived thereby allowing for the Pakistan vs Ireland match to be played.

Stadium Atmosphere and Fans in the Stands:
Pakistan came into the Tournament with high-expectations. However, they struggled and had a disappointing T20 World Cup campaign overall. But, despite those low points Pakistan shined in their match against Ireland and captured a 3-wicket victory (with 7 balls remaining). It is key to note that both sides had already been eliminated from the Tournament prior to their face-off.  India ended up winning it all and hoisting the 2024 ICC Cricket World Cup Tournament trophy at the Kensington Oval in Barbados.
