Dedicated to the widows of 9/11

This band of gold

This band of gold is all I have left to hold,
Your departure from life has still not grown old,
I have tarried and I have cried, the feelings of
fear will never subside,
The legacy of pride you have left behind, has me
clinging to this band of gold,
It is infinite and round and immortalizes the love
we had found,
The gold symbolizes the strength and endurance
that abounds since you have not been around,
This band of gold conjures up memories untold,
A life to cherish and behold, an image I can never replace or mold.

I WORK HERE IN PITTSBURGH AT A RADIO STATION, SO AS THE NEWS WAS COMING OFF THE AP WIRE, IT WAS SO SHOCKING AND DISTURBING, THAT I COULD HARDLY BELIEVE IT WAS HAPPENING. I GOT VERY CALM BECAUSE I KNEW THAT EVERYONE ELSE WOULD START TO GET HYSTERICAL. I WAS SILENTLY PRAYING EVEN AS I WAS ANSWERING THE PHONES AND DOING MY WORK. I WAS PRAYING FOR MY JAMAICAN BROTHER- IN- LAW AND MOTHER-IN-LAW THAT BOTH WORK NEAR THE WTC. AS AMERCIANS, WE LOST SO MUCH THAT DAY AND IT WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN THAT OUR LIVES ARE VERY VERY FRAGILE AND WE SHOULD ALL LEARN TO LOVE ONE ANOTHER AND GET ALONG BECAUSE NOTHING REALLY MATTERS BUT FAMILY AND FRIENDS.

I hear their voices
On the wind,
Telling me
The world has changed.
New challenge
Has been issued,
Against the vision
Of peace and life.

Silenced now,
They gather round
Ghostly spires
No longer there.
Held for all eternity,
By demented
Mad man’s whim.

Stronger then ever
I can sense
The presence of people
I never knew.

Man to man is so unjust….the rate we are going we will never trust. It is always the simple man who pays for the wickedness of people in high places. May God have pity on those who committed this dreadful act and may he soften the hearts of those who provoked it.
God bless!

Terribly sorry about the loss to family and friends from the USA and other countries. Hopefully we can mark the anniversary of the deaths as a day of reflection on the effects of US foreign policy and how the US treats people, ‘aliens’ included, that would have proovoked such an act. That way, perhaps those of us in the US and in the rest of the Americas could also mark the day to improve human relations in the world. Let September 11 be remembered as a day in which terror arrived on the doorsteps of a nation that practiced it at home and abroad. Innocent people should not have to die for the sins of others but every dog have dem day, every puss have dem four o’clock. May they rest in peace. And may the US learn its lesson in time so that such a tragic event in world history does not repeat itself.

Yes, those scum changed the world, they brought all of us together as a family. They did not break the heart of America, and what it stands for….FREEDOM.
