On this day in Jamaican History: Usain Bolt world record at the Beijing Olympic Games

On August 20th, 2008 Jamaica’s Usain Bolt won the men’s 200m final at the Beijing Olympic Games breaking the world record in a time of 19.30 seconds. On that day Bolt became the first man since Carl Lewis in 1984 to sweep the 100 and 200 gold medals at an Olympics. A feat he repeated at 2012 London Olympics. Here is video of the world record run:
