Jamaican-born chef Colin Brown is competing alongside 23 other chefs in the new Netflix competitive cooking show “The Final Table.” The new food competition features two dozen chefs from around the globe cooking in teams of two. The chefs will apply their skills through a series of country-themed challenges, and at the end of the competition, only one will be allowed to join the nine master chef/judges at The Final Table.

Much of the competition’s entertainment value comes from watching how the talented chefs work together, drawing upon their unique cultural backgrounds, to develop new dishes.

Jamaica’s Collin Brown has cooked Caribbean foods in kitchens worldwide, including in a restaurant in the Canary Wharf area of London in the United Kingdom. Brown was named the executive chef at Cottons Caribbean Rum Shack as well/ This is a chain based in the UK that has four locations in London.

Brown’s co-chef partner in “The Final Table” is Colibrí Jiménez of Morelos, Mexico. She h as worked at Casa Morales/My Bowls in Oaxaca and is the author of the cookbook “Una Aventura Gastromomica,” which focuses on specialties from the various states in Mexico.

The other chef teams competing in the Netflix culinary challenge include Monique Fiso and Amninder Sandhu, Shane Osborn and Mark Best, Timothy Hollingsworth and Darren MacLean, Johnny Spero and Jessica Lorigo, Rafael Gil and Esdras Ochoa, Charles Michel and Rodrigo Pacheco, Benjamin Bensoussan and Manuel Berganza, Ash Heeger and Alex Haupt, Ronald Hsu and Shin Takagi, Graham Campbell and Aaron Bludorn, and James Knappett and Angel Vazquez.
