Horse-lovers and others can spend a Saturday at Caymanas Park in St. Catherine. This is the only horse racing track in Jamaica. Races are held every half hour from noon to 5:30 pm. There are several different gates of entry that lead to enclosures of various prices, and some have a dress code. Children can play at the Kiddies’ Stable, which provides supervision while their parents watch the races. You can place bets at the track, and there is a fully licensed bar.
