Day 59 of 365 Things to Do, See & Eat in Jamaica – Take a Tour of Malvern

Named for a town in England, Malvern is located 2300 feet above sea level in the Santa Cruz Mountains and boasts one of the best climates in the world. In the 19th century, it was known as the “Switzerland of the Caribbean” and functioned as a health resort for Europeans seeking a change from hotter, swampier areas. It is home to several historic schools, including Munro College for boys and Hampton College for Girls, both of which can point to many accomplished and successful alumni. Bethlehem Teacher’s College is also located in Malvern.

In case you missed any of the past “365 Things to Do, See and Eat in Jamaica“, here they are all together.
