Wesley Frater and his wife Daun Ferguson head up Tournament of Champions and Daun Cosmetics, companies that made a donation to St. Jago High School and provided iPads to Bethany Primary in Bethany, Alexandria, and St. Ann, Jamaica. The couple traveled to the island on March 22, 2016, to present the donations to the schools. According to Daun Ferguson, they have been committed to giving back to the community since the day they met. “Giving has been the foundation of our marriage and our business via our Soul to Sole Caribbean program.” For the past seven years, this has made numerous donations in Jamaica, the Bahamas and Turks & Caicos. Wesley Frater noted, “We are both Caribbean born and view this as our responsibility to give back to this region. Computer access and literacy is at the top of our priority…we were proud to provide tablets to Bethany Primary School and will continue to support them.” In past years, notable sports stars, including Udonis Haslem of the NBA’s Miami Heat, accompanied the couple to Jamaica. Tournament of Champions is a nonprofit organization founded by Frater in 1996 to help inner city youth in South Florida to succeed in sports, education and life. Daun Cosmetics is owned and operated by Daun Ferguson, celebrity stylist, who has been a licensed beauty professional since 1991 and is currently the owner of the Turning Heads Exclusive Miami and the Caribbean.
