GQ magazine has released its 21st annual “Men of the Year” list for 2016, and Jamaica’s Olympic champion sprinter Usain Bolt is one of three gentlemen to receive this honor. Named with Bolt are actors Ryan Reynolds and Warren Beatty. In choosing these men, GQ recognized individuals “who brought some much-needed light into a very long year,” according to the editors. Bolt was honored achieving a record no one in history has ever achieved: winning three Olympic gold medals for the third consecutive time at the Rio games. The magazine called him “the most exciting man in sports” for 2016. In a profile featured in GQ, Bolt discusses his “partying,” his Jamaican culture, and what he is planning to do after he retires.
