Off to Africa: Dr. Sanneta Myrie, Miss Jamaica World 2015 and Miss World 3rd runner up left the island this week en-route to East Africa to participate in a series youth development workshops and mentorship programmes organized by the Shashamane Sunrise International Foundation. Following her participation in a local event staged by the Shashamane group, Dr. Myrie was invited to tour Africa with the group of international volunteers. According to Dr. Myrie, “I am proud to be an ambassador of this wonderful organization which promotes education in developing countries across the world, this is what Beauty with a Purpose is all about.” The two-week African tour includes visits to Ethiopia, Kenya and Uganda.
