On this day in Jamaican History: On July 31, 2002 Emancipation Park was officially opened in Kingston, Jamaica. The Park was created to be a symbol of our Freedom to Hope, to Excel and to Be. Emancipation Park is located in central New Kingston the home of corporate Jamaica.  Visitors to the park can find some tranquility in the heart of corporate Jamaica.
