In keeping with the 2015 Jamaica Festival theme “Proud and Free: Jamaica 53” the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission encouraged local businesses and government agencies to display their true “Spirit of Independence” by decorating their offices in a window dressing competition.
The businesses/agencies who showed their true “Spirit of Independence” were awarded in a ceremony held at the Louise Bennett Garden Theatre on Wednesday, September 16, 2015.
Senior Human Resources Manager at the Transport Authority, Miss Shelly-Ann Robinson, receives the Spirit of Independence award for Best Decorated Business/Office, on behalf of the Transport Authority from the Minister of Youth and Culture, the Hon. Lisa Hanna MP in an award presentation ceremony held at the Louise Bennett Garden Theatre on Wednesday.
