The New York City Caribbean Carnival Parade, also known as the West Indian Day Parade, was held on Monday, September 5, 2016. The Carnival Parade featured steel-pan & calypso bands, vibrant costumes, music and a lively crowd. The Carnival Parade celebrated a variety of Caribbean nations, including Jamaica, Haiti, Trinidad & Tobago and Belize. The parade ran along Crown Heights beginning at Schenectady Avenue, and made its way down Eastern Parkway and came to a stop at Grand Army Plaza.
