West Indian Day Parade

The New York City Caribbean Carnival Parade, also known as the West Indian Day Parade, was held on Monday, September 5, 2016. The Carnival Parade featured steel-pan & calypso bands, vibrant costumes, music and a lively crowd. The Carnival Parade celebrated a variety of Caribbean nations, including Jamaica, Haiti, Trinidad & Tobago and Belize. The parade ran along Crown Heights beginning at Schenectady Avenue, and made its way down Eastern Parkway and came to a stop at Grand Army Plaza. The parade is organized by the West Indian American Day Carnival Association (WIADCA). Here are photo highlights of the West Indian Day Parade.
