Written by StephanieK

Four hotels in Jamaica were tanked among the Top 25 Bargain Hotels in the Caribbean by travel website TripAdvisor. Hotels in Port Antonio, Runaway Bay, and Negril made the list.

At Number 8 is the Hotel Jamaican Colors. Located in Port Antonio, the hotel was built in 2004 and overlooks the ocean. It features a private beach accessed via a shaded path between two cliffs. The small and rustic spot is popular with travelers seeking a romantic getaway. There are six bungalows on the property, and all of them have a private terrace, bath and double bed. There is free WiFi, but no TVs in the rooms. A swimming pool, cocktail bar, and cooked-to-order dining makes for a comfortable and relaxing experience.

At Number 18 is Travellers Beach Resort, located in Negril. Perfect for honeymooners, vacationers or people looking for relaxation, the resort caters to all with its exotic tropical ambiance. Situated on the famous white-sand Seven-Mile Beach, the resort was founded in 1992 as a bar and restaurant by Winston Wellington, who cleared the property himself, ridding the land of Jamaican bush and leaving three sea-grape trees to shade sunbathers and restaurant guests. The resort now features 60 rooms just five minutes from the center of Negril and its many cultural and entertainment offerings. Also at the resort are a 24/7 fitness center, swim-up pool bar, and nightly entertainment.

Rounding out the list at Number 25 is the Negril Yoga Center, which features rustic rooms and cottages surrounding the open-air, wood-floored, thatch-roofed yoga facility. Guests have a choice of accommodations, ranging from a two-story Thai-style wood cabin to an adobe farmer cottage. Yogurt, cheese and sprouts are made on-site by staff, and yoga classes are offered to both guests and visitors. Also on offer: massages, free WiFi, and an on-call cook ready to prepare breakfast and vegetarian meals to the specifications of guests. The beach is just across the way and offers the natural beauty of the Caribbean Sea. Nearby are Kool Runnings Waterpark, Negril Aerodome, and the Times Square Mall.
