Green Grotto Caves

A visit to the Green Grotto Caves is a journey into the country’s rich history. Once a hideout for the Spanish during the British invasion, the caves have sheltered runaway slaves and was even used to smuggle arms to Cuba during the two world wars. In recent years, it briefly housed a night club before the government declared it a heritage site. An exploration of the caves leads through a large labyrinthine of unique rock formations, and eventually to a magnificent underwater lake.
