Years after originating the wildly popular “Bruck Up” dance and becoming an international sensation, songwriter and recording artist George “Bruck Up” Adams is focused on moving the masses in an exciting way.

He leads off summer 2015 with his single “Cry”, born out of a personal moment for the artiste. “It was a moment that I think many men can relate to. The moment when you see that certain woman…you see beauty, head to toe, that’s out of this world, and she’s yours? You have to cry. I knew I had to put that in a song.”

To bring it to life, Bruck Up teamed up with leading Jamaican producer Teetimus, who has worked with artistes including Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley, Mr. Vegas and Trey Songz. The collaboration yielded a club-ready electronic dance sound with an intimate, reggae-night vibe—perfect for the sexy, lyrical banter he had in mind.

“Cry fi yuh body/Mek me see you bus’ a wine”, Bruck Up flows on the chorus of the single which has been described by music critics as “authentic dancehall bubbling with salacious appeal”. Recognizing the need to keep the single radio-friendly, the team has found the right balance and has come up with a song that is merely borderline edgy and which is already being embraced by radio, both in the US and in Jamaica.

Bruck Up, who has been doing the rounds in the US, attending award functions, including the recent BET Awards, says he is quite confident that dancehall fans will be moved in a huge way by this single. “Dancehall is the link that keeps me grounded, wherever I am,” says Bruck Up, who is just as comfortable hanging out with the Gully Gad, Mavado, as he is with Nicki Minaj.

Bruck Up, who is confirmed alongside a slew of big name dancehall acts for the Anything Goes concert at Club Amazura in Quens, NY on September 5, is prepared to treat fans to a performance they will not soon forget.
