Cuban Plátanos Maduros Fritos (Sweet Fried Plantains) is a staple food in Cuba. It is not only popular there but throughout all the Caribbean islands.
- 4 Ripe Plantains
- ½ Cup Avocado oil
- Choose very ripe plantains – look for plantains with black peels.
- Peel and cut into 1″ inch slices.
- Heat oil and fry slices until golden brown.
- Drain on a paper towel.
- Serves 4
