Day 174 of 365 Things to Do, See & Eat in Jamaica – Heaven for Bird Watchers

The Rocklands Bird Sanctuary in Wiltshire, St. James, offers visitors to Jamaica a really unique experience. Not only can you see the birds in their natural habitat, but you can feed them yourself and watch them up close. A particular treat is feeding the hummingbirds, which will perch right on your finger while you feed them from a bottle filled with sugared water. Set in the gardens of a rustic country home, the sanctuary is run by the nephew of its founder Lisa Salmon, and its relaxed environment contributes to the comfort of the birds and their willingness to come into close contact with humans.

In case you missed any of the past “365 Things to Do, See and Eat in Jamaica“, here they are all together.
