For a taste of the laid-back pace of life in Jamaica, spend some time at Shan Shy. You can enjoy food from a café right on the beach, or take a short walk to Dickie’s Best Kept Secret restaurant. You may even meet Courtney Keating: he and the crew of the “Reggae Boat” were the winners of the 2006 Port Antonio Blue Marlin Fishing Competition, defeating super-yachts that had come from all over the world to compete. Take a boat trip from the beach; these trips include fishing, snorkeling and sightseeing in places like Navy Island and the Blue Lagoon.
