Former Jamaican Beauty Queen a Contestant on UK’s “The Apprentice”

Born in London, April Jackson, Miss Jamaica Universe of 2008, is now among the contestants hoping to win on the United Kingdom’s version of Donald Trump’s American TV show “The Apprentice.” Jackson, 28, currently owns an event management company and a Jamaican boutique, and she runs a children’s charity. Jackson believes she has the talents and skills necessary to be the winning contender because of her success in business and her unique status as a winner of the Miss Jamaica Universe contest. While, the television show is different from a beauty pageant, Jackson thinks there are similarities, especially in their very high level of competitiveness.
