Tennis star Serena Williams, who has won 21 Grand Slam titles during her career, is helping to fund the construction of a school in Jamaica. In partnership with Helping Hands Jamaica, Serena Williams’ foundation and a group of volunteers is helping to build the Salt Marsh Primary School, literally. Serena, acting as “forewoman” on the project, can be seen in an online video, complete with tool belt and goggles. Showing herself to be worthy of the accolades gathered throughout her athletic career and her achievements on the tennis court, Serena Williams is using her sports stardom to make positive contributions to communities in personal and generous ways.
