Nadeen Matthews, the chief digital and marketing officers for the NCB Group, will represent the English- and Spanish-speaking Caribbean at the 2017 Young Global Leaders (YGL) forum. The YGL is a high-profile and expanding network of action-oriented young leaders from around the world. Matthews will join people like Mariame McIntosh Robinson, Imani Duncan Price and Marlene Malahoo Forte, who were chosen in past years for their outstanding contributions in their fields of endeavor. Matthews, 37, is the youngest woman to head a division at National Commercial Bank Jamaica Limited, the biggest financial services firm in Jamaica. Sixty-four percent of the 2017 YGL class comprises women. All of the chosen leaders are under the age of 40. Matthews says she is honored to be chosen to represent Jamaica and the Caribbean and is looking forward to working with her peers, noting the valuable educational opportunities presented by the Forum. The Forum of Young Global Leaders was created by the World Economic Forum as a community of exceptional achievers and includes more than 900 individuals worldwide.
