LifeLine Foundation contributes $5,000.00 to All Saints Primary School

Thursday September 3rd, 2009- LifeLine Foundation today presented a cheque for $5,000.00 to All Saints Primary School in Belize City. This contribution is a result of the proceeds of LifeLine’s fourth annual Black & White Gala held earlier this year, to raise funds to aid and support children in need.

LifeLine Foundation is a philanthropic, non profit charity trust geared towards raising money to benefit children at schools and orphanages who are in dire need of assistance for food, clothing, medical care and educational development. LifeLine has committed to carrying out positive and impacting projects to help improve the quality of lives for our precious Belizean children.

The Cheque was handed over to Mrs. Therese Roches, Principal of All Saints Primary School by Lifeline’s Founder/Director, Ms. Kim Simplis at ceremonies held at the school this morning. Special Guest at the ceremony was Bishop Philip Wright of the Anglican Church.

Principal of All Saints Primary School, Mrs. Therese Roches explained that many children attend school without having breakfast. This she claims affect their productivity as they are unable to work, think, play or function overall at school. LifeLine believes that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. As a result, this contribution is given to assist the school’s breakfast feeding program; one of the first in Belize.

“This is one of many contributions made by LifeLine for school feeding programs, following its commitment to positively impact the lives of our Belizean children” says Kim Simplis, Founder/Director of LifeLine Foundation. Over 500 children have so far benefited from Lifeline’s efforts said Simplis.
