Noel Coward, noted British playwright, made his home at this historic house. It got its name from the luminous insects that appear during the warm Jamaican evenings. It has been the chosen destination for many celebrities including Queen Elizabeth II, Sophia Loren, Elizabeth Taylor, and Richard Burton. The house is maintained as it was during a visit by Britain’s Queen Mother in 1965. A house tour includes photos of the many celebrity guests who have stayed here and the surrounding grounds. Noel Coward is buried here.
