Walkerswood Jerk Seasoning has been listed at one of the 125 Best Foods for Men by Men’s Health Magazine. Topping the category “Best World Food Seasoning,” Walkerswood’s product was recommended as a peppery and savory blend that can be used to “jerk everything.” The magazine reviewed thousands of products to determine which were the most nutritious in their categories. In reviewing products, researchers found that the best foods, health-wise and taste-wise, were those made of “real” ingredients – something Walkerswood Caribbean Foods is proud of. The traditional jerk seasoning is made from Scallions, scotch bonnet peppers, salt, black pepper, all spice, nutmeg, citric acid, cane sugar, thyme leaves.

Men’s Health (MH), published by Rodale Inc. in Emmaus, Pennsylvania, United States, is the world’s largest men’s magazine brand, with 40 editions in 47 countries. It is also the best-selling men’s magazine on U.S. newsstands. Although originally started as a men’s health magazine, it currently covers various men’s lifestyle topics such as fitness, nutrition, fashion, and sexuality.

Walkerswood is the name of a village in rural Jamaica hidden in the green hills of St. Ann. There at a local factory, they  prepare delicious sauces, seasonings and condiments from freshly harvested produce grown in the surrounding country side.

Walkerswood Caribbean Foods has worked to bring a taste of the Caribbean to the world with their innovative line of traditional seasonings, cooking sauces, spices, preserves and canned vegetables.

Registered in 1978, the company started life as part of a rural community’s effort to create employment for its people. They have full time staff of over 80. With the growing demand for spicy food, WALKERSWOOD developed its own Jerk Seasoning and was the first company to export Jerk Seasoning from Jamaica. Since then they have produced a range of  over 15 products.
