Day 185 of 365 Things to Do, See & Eat in Jamaica – Meet the Crocodiles in the Black River

Jamaica’s longest river flows into the Caribbean Sea near the town of Black River in Negril. Here you can take a guided boat tour in search of crocodiles. On the way to your visit with the crocodiles in their natural habitat, you’ll also see egrets, cranes and other wildlife that live near the dark, tannin-infused river waters. And with a warning that the crocs, when you find them, are wild creatures, your tour guide may call out to one of the “regulars” known as Patricia who will come up to your boat and lunge at the chicken skin brought along just for her – you may even be able to pet the animal as she swims alongside your boat for a great photo opportunity.

In case you missed any of the past “365 Things to Do, See and Eat in Jamaica“, here they are all together.
