On this day in Jamaican History: Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley

On this day in Jamaican History, July 21st, 1978, Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley was born to the late international Reggae superstar Robert Nesta Marley and former Miss World Cindy Breakspeare.   Damian’s nickname Junior Gong is derived from his father’s nickname of Tuff Gong. Damian has been performing since the age of 13. Damian’s biggest album “Welcome to Jamrock” solidified his position in the international music scene. He is a 2-time  Grammy awards winner.
