New Resort in Negril Is “Clothing Optional”

The Grand Lido Negril has added a new feature to Jamaica’s all-inclusive resort experience: nudity. The new all-suite resort is located in western Jamaica and designed for single people and couples who like to socialize in a clothing-optional setting. Another “au natural” resort had been located on the same property owned by Blue Diamond Resorts until several years ago. The new Grand Lido Negril provides a high-end naturist Caribbean venue that features butler service to all of its 26 suites for maximum privacy. The resort prohibits photography and “untoward advances” at its private pool and on the beach. Guests at the Grand Lido will get access to the facilities and services to the two neighboring clothing-required and family-friendly resort Royalton Negril and the adults-only Hideaway at Royalton, which features spa and fitness services, seven restaurants and nightly entertainment. According to the Grand Lido’s manager Cortney Miller, the resort’s parent company Blue Diamond always knew there was a demand in Jamaica for a naturalist venue. Miller noted that the resort faces away from any family resorts in the area and that its oceanfront location offers maximum privacy. The resort’s small size makes it perfect for both experienced and first-time naturist guests, and its very strict rules of behavior guarantee a comfortable experience.
