The Jamaica Bobsleigh Federation Pushes For Gold With Team Selections On September 19, 2015 In Jamaica

The Jamaica Bobsleigh Federation (JBF) has announced that it will be conducting team trials on Saturday September 19, 2015 at the Shortwood Teachers’ College,77 Shortwood Road, Kingston 8

The team selections will be opened to men and women of Jamaican descent, 18-23 years of age. The aim is to select athletes with the explosive speed and power that can be developed into world-class bobsled athletes to represent Jamaica at the 2018 Winter Olympic Games in Pyeongchang, South Korea. “The athletes we identified during our last team trials are developing really nicely.” Stated Secretary General of the Jamaica Bobsleigh Federation and member of the 1988 team, Devon Harris from his office in New York. “ We hope to find a few more who are equally as talented in order to continue the rebuilding process”, he continued.

Registration for the team trials will begin at 8:00 AM at the Shortwood Teachers’ College. The trials proper will commence at 9:00 AM.For inquiries please email the JBF at [email protected]
